We often spend our leisure time watching new movies or even watching our favorite ones again, listening to your favorite music or looking at photos taken with friends and family. Of course, for these purposes, we use the TV or projector screens. We buy acoustic systems for maximum quality or use tablets and smartphones. But, whatever the case is, we all understand that nowadays life is unimaginable without multimedia devices.

Over time we acquired more and more devices, they consumed too much electricity and produced too much heat and noise while disc collections started to occupy too much space.

It was easier before, when we had a TV or two with a DVD player connected to it, plus a collection of discs and tapes...

And we had to be a rocket scientist to handle all these things in an optimal manner.

The "MEDIATOR" consists of two main parts:

So how can we organize videos, music and photos in a way that they were easy to use on such a large number of technical devices?

We live in a digital world, though we may not even noticed it. All videos, songs and photos are just computer files in various formats and transmitted via the computer network from the source they are stored in onto the screen, or they are even transmitted from one user to another.

It would be logical to have a common digital library that stores all our multimedia information and only connects to the library with the devices that we want to use. Better yet if this library could constantly update itself, download new materials from the Internet and conveniently organize them for quick and intuitive search when needed.

Media server.

This is the heart of system. It is a small unit, the main functional purpose of which is independent broadcasting on multiple devices, storage and systematization of the home media library. It also copies information from other sources, such as discs, hard drives or the internet.

Our device can be connected to any hard drive or network storage in various combinations and with any files stored on them in any order. Placing any disc in the optical drive will make “MEDIATOR” automatically copy all information and assign it a description and a cover page for easy search.

- Showing movies

- Playing music

- Displaying photos to friends and family onto any screen at home.

The system interface is designed to be as easy as possible, so that no additional instructions are needed and even a child or an elderly person can use it without any problems.
To control all main functions you only need four main buttons on the remote and the confirmation button (OK).

To make interface intuitive we used the same principle that is used to position goods in supermarket. We are all used to see it every day.

This device receives files from the media server and plays them on your TV or music system. This client device can play the maximum possible number of digital formats regardless of their origin, be it a copy of a disk or the Internet files.

The number of such multimedia clients may be the same as the number of TV sets or audio systems in the house. And they can simultaneously and independently receive any information from the media server using connection to the home network.

Isn`t this system too complicated to use? You definitely do not want to spend your free time conducting a long research of the system interface instead of enjoying your favorite movies.

The ability to control playback using mobile devices completes the list of facilities and allows to use the system to listen to your favorite music even without using the TV screen. So, you can enjoy a nice bath, swim in the pool or even enjoy a BBQ listening to your favourite music. Your guests can also enjoy the very features of The Mediator by being able to connect to it using their mobile devices and without installing any apps! Cool huh?

We included a possibility to change interface layout and tweak the system using a computer. Although to start using the system you only need to connect the necessary cables to the appropriate connectors and the system will automatically set up for work.

Surely, we take data protection very serious . Parental control function can hide unwanted content in the library or even limit the search by genre on the Internet. You can access/hide any information using a password. Information is only accessible in the folders where you enter password and after watching this content it is automatically blocked.

But what do we do when we want to watch a new movie or listen to music that is not in our library? How will we be able to find them in the Internet?
